at the Hillcrest Christian Church, McKinney, TX

15 players participated plus several wives attended, with 6 States represented.  Ed King wins the Texas Championship Title and the District 8 Championship.  This makes two in a row. Congratulations to Roy Little as Oklahoma State Champion, and Orbra Hawkins as Arkansas Champion. The highest finishing State resident in District 8 is declared that years State Checker Champion. This tournament was 7 Rounds of Swiss, scored by game play.  We were proud to have Roque Medina as a tournament newcomer.
